"When designing ECS bags, the process usually goes one of two ways. Sometimes an idea takes days, or even weeks to fully come together. Other times, there’s no real roadmap at all. You just follow the idea, let it evolve, and somehow it finds its way to the finish line. This month’s ECS was definitely the latter.
Royal Elk actually started as an elk T-shirt design I was working on. After a few conversations with Evan, we decided there was more to the idea and started building it out into something bigger. What it became was a mix of two things that don’t always go together: comedy and elegance. A little regal, a little ridiculous, and somehow it all works.
With summer fading and the excitement of fall hunting season right around the corner, the timing for this one felt perfect. I’m really happy with how Royal Elk came together, and I think we landed on something that feels fun, different, and right at home for this time of year."
