Evan Hafer is the founder and Executive Chairman of Black Rifle Coffee Company. America's leading Veteran-owned and operated premium, small-batch coffee roastery. 

I started Black Rifle Coffee Company to provide high-quality coffee to the pro-American and Veteran communities. 

Between deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I was working to refine both my coffee roasting and my firearms skills.

I spent over a decade researching coffee, refining my roast profiles, and (of course) drinking what I roast. Black Rifle Coffee Company is quite literally the combination of my two favorite passions.

I take pride in the coffee we roast, the veterans we employ, and the causes we support.

Mat Best joined the Army at the age of 17 and deployed five times to Iraq and Afghanistan with the 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

After leaving military service, Mat deployed to a variety of overseas locations as a contractor during his five years with the CIA.

Mat graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts, and began creating satirical videos and building brands like Article 15 Clothing, Leadslingers Spirits, the Drinkin' Bros Podcast, and Black Rifle Coffee Company.

JT grew up in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from North Kitsap High School, he shipped off to Air Force basic training to become a Munitions Systems Apprentice. He later opted to go through the process to become a Tactical Air Control Party Specialist (TACP).

In early 2013, JT met his business partner, Mat Best, and, together, they began producing Mat’s Youtube Channel, “Mbest11x." After 11 years on active duty, JT separated from the Air Force in November of 2014.

As Chief Executive Officer, Chris oversees BRCC’s day-to-day operations, as well as our brand marketing strategy to drive business growth and market share across all our channels.

Upon joining BRCC in May 2023 as Chief Marketing Officer, Chris quickly made a positive impact on the company and was elevated to President, in addition to his CMO duties. Chris’ expanded scope was recognition that his deep business and strategic expertise extends well beyond marketing to include business development and operational capabilities.

Chris has 28+ years of consumer marketing, business and leadership experience. Prior to Black Rifle, he spent nearly 12 years at Mars in multiple leadership positions including Chief Growth Officer, Senior VP North America Customer Development, and VP of Marketing. In these roles he consistently grew his responsibilities and led transformative growth and operational improvement across numerous brands.

Before that, Chris spent 12 years at Kraft Foods leading businesses in North America and China, including launching the most successful campaign in recent Kraft Cheese history.

Before his business career, Chris was a Marine for five years, deploying in support of Operation Desert Freedom. Chris has a strong personal connection to the military and first-responder community.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in economics and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Kim Evanoff is the Chief Commercial Officer at Black Rifle Coffee Company, where she leads the company’s commercial strategy, sales execution, and revenue growth across all channels. She brings more than 20 years of experience in retail, sales, and general management.

Prior to joining BRCC, Kim served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Red Bull North America, overseeing commercial strategy and execution across the food, mass, and club channels. She previously spent 17 years at SC Johnson in a range of leadership roles, managing major accounts including Walmart, Kroger, and Target, as well as value, club and military channels.

Kim has led both domestic and international teams, delivering brand strategy, organizational development, and long-term growth across multiple channels and global markets. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and an Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Andrew McCormick is the General Counsel and Secretary at Black Rifle Coffee Company.

Prior to joining Black Rifle, Andrew served as the General Counsel of Laird Superfood, Inc., a publicly listed natural foods company founded by surfer Laird Hamilton.

Before his time with Laird, Andrew practiced law at Hogan Lovells US LLP and Latham & Watkins (London), LLP. He holds a JD from Columbia Law School, an LLM from the London School of Economics, and a BA from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.

Matthew Amigh has more than 30 years of finance, commercial, operations, and supply chain leadership across public and private consumer packaged goods companies.

Prior to BRCC, Mr. Amigh served as CEO and CFO of Bulletproof 360, Inc., returning the company to profitability and leading a strategic exit. He also held senior leadership roles at Lenny & Larry’s and Raybern Foods. While at Raybern Foods, he served as CFO and COO and led an operational transformation, leading to a successful strategic exit.

Earlier, Mr. Amigh held senior finance roles at Mars, Del Monte Foods, and Kraft Heinz. He led global finance teams, drove profitable growth, improved operational efficiency, and supported businesses ranging from $250 million to more than $4 billion in revenue across both traditional retail and direct-to-consumer models.

Mr. Amigh is a Certified Public Accountant and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in both enlisted and officer roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics (accounting and management) from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Robert Morris University, and he completed executive leadership training at the Wharton School.
