Coffee or Die Magazine existed exclusively online for three years, and now that it's in print, we thought it was important to give some of those online-only stories some ink. So the Coffee or Die editors curated these stories from the digital library and compiled them into this special Black Rifle Friday edition.
Inside, you'll find the story that launched coffeeordie.com — an exclusive embed with a Special Forces unit fighting ISIS in Afghanistan. There are also first-person accounts from people like Scott Gilbertson, a former Army Ranger living in Los Angeles who witnesses his neighborhood devolve into chaos right in front of him; Nick Betts, an Army sniper in a past life, who writes about how attending Burning Man helped him find healing; and Brandon Young, an Army Ranger veteran who details a moving discovery about his father.
