Tactisquatch Sighting at BRCC Harker Heights Grand Opening!
On Saturday, Jan. 29, Black Rifle Coffee Company officially raised the flag to welcome fans to its newest store in Harker Heights, Texas. This latest corporate-owned retail store continues BRCC’s mission of serving premium coffee to active military members, veterans, first responders, and all those who love America.
Not only is BRCC veteran-owned, but it’s also heavily veteran-staffed, living up to its pledge to continue to support the military population and ultimately, to hire 10,000 veterans. Harker Heights is no exception, with a rapidly growing number of military veterans in its ranks.

The retail store is less than 10 miles from the historic Fort Hood Army base — a premier military installation optimized to train and deploy American forces.
We caught up with BRCC’s co-CEO Tom Davin at the Grand Opening event to find out what makes this retail location unique.
“When we started researching where we wanted to open Black Rifle Coffee Company retail shops in Texas, we said we wanted to be near all the big Army bases,” Davin explained. “The Harker Heights location was right up there on our list.”

The Grand Opening event kicked off at 5 am with many die-hard BRCC fans waiting in line hours before the doors officially opened. The first 50 customers in-store received 20-ounce BRCC tumblers and one year of free batch-brew coffee refills. All BRCC fans in attendance were treated to free coffee samples, snacks, and outdoor games, with raffle prizes given out every hour until noon.
At 10 am, a flag-raising and ribbon-cutting ceremony kicked off. In attendance were many well-known BRCC friends and staff, including Mat Best, Logan Stark, Tom Davin, Richard Ryan, and special guest appearances from some of BRCC’s top influencers.

But a fan-favorite feature of the day was a rare, real-world encounter with Tactisquatch himself. Attendees both young and old were able to take photos with the popular figure, and on a picture-perfect day, it almost seemed as if ’Squatch were right at home in Harker Heights.
The Grand Opening event also included a $5,000 charitable donation from the BRCC Fund to Fire Base Brewing Co. FBBC provides a quality craft beer destination that supports the veteran community with mentorship through veterans service organization outreach and providing education to those who want to learn about the growing craft beer industry.
