Hario V60 Metal Series Provides BRCC Baristas the Outdoor Pour Over Solution
Finding an easier way to brew your specialty coffee while off the grid can be challenging. This is especially true if your preferred brewing method is a pour over.
While popular brewing devices like the Chemex work amazingly well at home or in the office, because it’s made of glass, if you travel with it, it often requires additional security measures (i.e., adds extra weight to your kit) to ensure it survives the trip.
Black Rifle Coffee Company has found a mobile brewing solution for the die-hard pour over barista.

The Hario V60 Metal Dripper features the classic cone shape for making that perfect pour over cup of coffee, but with a unique twist — literally. This stainless steel with silicone rubber holder is part of Hario’s new outdoor series of products.
The spiral ribs on the dripper wall prevent the filter from clinging to the cone, allowing air to escape during the brewing process and maximizing the expansion of the grounds.
While the original one-to-four-cups capacity V60 has for years been a household name for baristas worldwide, the unique metal design for this dripper provides users a lighter yet durable option.

BRCC paired this pour over device with the elusive Tactisquatch roast.
Available in ground or whole bean, this Honduras Arabica offers tasting notes of black currant, molasses, and orange –– with pleasant aromas as powerful as a Tactisquatch sighting in the woods.

The dripper offered good thermal conductivity, allowing for a quick and efficient warmup during extraction in hot and cold environments.
The device conveniently fits atop a wide variety of BRCC mugs and coffee tumblers, and you can even hook the grip of the dripper onto a backpack and carry it around.
The Hario V60 Metal Coffee Dripper 02 is available now in silver on the official Black Rifle Coffee Company website.
